• Rhizome scale and rhizome rot

  Rhizome scale: apply well-rotted sheep manure at 10 t/ha (or poultry manure) in two splits, basal and at earthing up. Rhizome rot: treat seed rhizomes with Pseudomonas fluorescens 10 g/kg or Trichoderma asperellum 4 g/kg, and apply 2.5 kg/ha each of P. fluorescens and T. asperellum with 50 kg FYM as basal and again at 150 days.
