Sweet orange

Sweet orange — 4Water, nutrients & weeds

  • Irrigation

Irrigate copiously right after planting and then once in 10 days; keep irrigation regular during fruit development. Water must never touch the trunk, so use a double-ring or check-bund basin, and avoid stagnation near the plant. Drip irrigation saves water. Stopping irrigation 1–2 months before flowering is beneficial.
