Seed rate: 1.0 kg/ha. Dig 30 x 30 x 30 cm pits at 2 x 2 m. Soak seeds in twice their volume of water for 30 minutes; treat with Azospirillum just before sowing. Sow 3 seeds per pit and thin to 2 plants per pit after 15 days. In protected nurseries, 12-day-old seedlings from 98-cell protrays with cocopeat are planted.
