Papaya ringspot: raise seedlings in an insect-proof net house, grow two rows of maize as a border crop one month before transplanting, and apply 10 kg FYM per pit. Root rot appears in waterlogged areas, so good drainage is vital. Against nematodes, apply neem cake 250 g per plant or Pseudomonas fluorescens 4 g per plant.
