Seed rate: 8.0 kg/ha for varieties and 2.5 kg/ha for hybrids. Plough 4–5 times and form ridges and furrows 45 cm apart. Sow three seeds per hill 30 cm apart and thin to 2 plants per hill after 10 days. Spacing: 45 x 30 cm.
