Apply 12.5 t/ha of FYM or compost, and 12.5 kg N, 25 kg P and 12.5 kg K per hectare as basal if the soil is deficient. If the soil is deficient in zinc and iron, apply 25 kg ZnSO4 and 25 kg FeSO4 with FYM. Give one weeding and hoeing 25–30 days after sowing.
