CO 2 vegetable cowpea is a suitable intercrop. Elephant foot yam itself can be intercropped in coconut, arecanut, rubber, banana and robusta coffee at 90 x 90 cm, with half the FYM (12.5 t/ha) and one-third of the NPK (27:20:33 kg/ha).
