Seed rate: 500 g/ha. Dig 45 cm pits 2.5 m apart each way and fill with topsoil mixed with 15 kg compost or FYM. Sow one seed per pit 2.5–3 cm deep, or raise seedlings in polybags and transplant at 35–40 days. High-density options in the source: PKM 1 at 1.5 x 1.0 m with two plants per hill and drip fertigation; PKM 2 at 1.2 x 1.2 m.
