Treat seed with Rhizobium culture (600 g/ha) using rice gruel as a binder and dry in shade for 15–30 minutes before sowing. Bush type: 25 kg/ha, one seed every 30 cm on one side of ridges 60 cm apart. Pandal type: 5 kg/ha, 2–3 seeds per pit at 2 x 3 m, in 30 cm pits filled with FYM and soil (1 x 1 m for CO 1). Irrigate after sowing, on the 3rd day, then weekly.
