Plough four times and form long channels 1.5 m apart. Sow 2.5 kg/ha of seed treated with Trichoderma viride 4 g/kg or Pseudomonas fluorescens 10 g/kg (a fungicide option is also listed) on one side of the channel, 0.6 m between hills; thin to 2 plants per hill. Irrigate before sowing, then weekly. With drip, sow 60 cm apart along the lateral on 120 cm raised beds, and keep polybag seedlings for gap filling.
