Seed rate: irrigated 10–12 kg/ha, rainfed 20–25 kg/ha. Soak seed in water for 12 hours and treat with Azospirillum; Trichoderma viride is listed against wilt. Apply 10 t/ha FYM before the last ploughing, form beds and channels for irrigated crops, and sow split seeds at 20 x 15 cm. Seeds germinate in 8–15 days.
