Cocoa is sensitive to drought; in southern summers irrigate weekly. With arecanut: weekly in November–December, every 6 days in January–March and every 4–5 days in April–May. Trees 3 years and older: N 100 g, P 40 g and K 140 g per tree per year in two splits (April–May and August–September); half the dose for younger trees. Foliar FeSO4 0.5% + ZnSO4 0.5% twice a year.
