Varieties: 25–30 t/ha; hybrids: 60 t/ha. With grafting, hybrids gave 70 t/ha in the main crop, 45 t/ha in the first ratoon and 40 t/ha in the second ratoon. These are Tamil Nadu figures; actual yields depend on variety, season, care and local conditions.
