Per vine: 10 kg cattle manure or compost before the south-west monsoon; NPK 100:40:140 g in two splits (May–June and September–October); slaked lime 500 g in alternate years in May–June; Azospirillum 100 g a month after the fertilizers. Apply 30 cm from the base and mix into the soil. Give protective basin irrigation every 10 days in December–May.
