Seed rate: varieties 2.5 kg/ha, hybrids 1.5 kg/ha. Soak seed in water for 24 hours (1 part seed to 4 parts water), and treat with Trichoderma viride 4 g/kg or Pseudomonas fluorescens 10 g/kg. Plough 3–4 times; dig 30 x 30 x 30 cm pits at 2 x 1.5 m and form basins. Irrigate before sowing, then weekly.
