Budded plants on rough lemon or Rangpur lime rootstock are good. Seedlings also come true to type, so raising plants from seed is also recommended; VRM 1 Tahiti lime is propagated by layering. Plant healthy seedlings in June–December at 6 x 6 m, in 75 x 75 x 75 cm pits. Legumes and vegetables can be intercropped before bearing.
